Geoff’s first solo effort, Leap, is composed of songs and stories that twist and turn and reflect some of life’s more difficult challenges. While a huge fan of alternative rock, the new album is primarily acoustic guitar-driven, his style touching more on that found in Nashville-based singer songwriters. Leap covers styles in the vein of Isbell and Ray LaMontagne, telling some darker stories with a voice that goes from LaMontagne’s gentle rasp to Ben Gibbard’s higher range.
